Leading rollers manufacturer and innovator Pronexos will publicly showcase the revolutionary Tonex® coating for the first time at this year’s International Converting Exhibition (ICE) Europe in Munich.
Tonex®, a flexibly applicable coating for carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) rollers, has been developed using Pronexos’s decades of experience in manufacturing high-grade complex carbon fibre products. Following the launch of Tonex® in 2021, customers have received this innovation very positively and demand has been highly encouraging for Tonex®-coated CFRP rollers.
Tonex® offers a number of advantages over other roller coatings, including:
- higher resistance to abrasion and wear
- easier processing and repair
- better resistance to chemicals and corrosion
- an attractive price point compared to metallic coatings.
“We are seeing strong demand for Tonex®, with orders from all over Europe, as well as from customers in Asia,” says Philipp Kroschner, Head of Sales for CFRP Rollers at Pronexos. “Switching to CFRP rollers with Tonex® coating is a big step for some of our new customers in terms of material combination, but the advantages are obvious. The combination of steel and chrome is often too expensive a solution. It is also not recommended in terms of sustainability and environmental protection. Tonex® clearly offers the better alternative for this.”
The forthcoming trade fair season offers Pronexos a great opportunity to demonstrate Tonex® to the market in person, showing prospective customers its compelling advantages first-hand. “We will be demonstrating two special versions of Tonex® at ICE” concludes Kroschner, “namely the electrically conductive version, and another product variant with surface grooving. Come and see us to discover which Tonex® version could be right for your needs.”
You will find Pronexos at Stand 564, Hall A6 of ICE Europe, Munich from 15-17th March 2022.
